Clem's Xiaomi 13 Ultra Global
It has finally arrived

I have been an iPhone user since 2012 (and Blackberry before that: http://clemkuek.com/photoalbum/photo707.html).
Thus, it would take me a lot of research and thinking to move away from this IOS and camera set. But move away I did because I want to have a camera system which can come near to the quality available in digital cameras. It is much easier to take photos on the fly with a small smartphone than with a digital camera and the heavy glass which comes with them.
After a long time researching the specifications and outputs of different smartphone systems, I decided that of the batch of smartphones which are currently available (or soon to be available as it turned out), the one which suits me best is the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. But, this phone was released earlier this year only for the China market. Thus, I had to wait for the release of the global version. I placed a pre-order for a global set and waited.
After many months of waiting, the global version of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra was finally released and made available on this day. I collected my my set from the Mi Outlet at Aeon Mall.

This is the reason why I chose the Xiaomi 13 Ultra over the iPhone 14 Pro Max - Xiaomi has lenses and imagery co-engineered with Leica. I need a phone which will allow me to take photos of a quality which does not need me to lug around my Nikon digital cameras. Nowadays, smartphones can do a decent job excepting that the choice and quality of lenses will never match those available with fully-fledged digital cameras.
After a few days of setting the thing up and learning
the Android OS, I started to test the camera out. Here
