Growth Stimulating Effects of Ectomycorrhizal Fungi

An illustration of typical glasshouse results showing the difference in the growth attained in combinations of two ectomycorrhizal fungi with two types of eucalypts. The plants in the two pots on the left received no inoculation of ectomycorrhizal fungi. The differences in growth in seedlings in the four pots on the right may indicate the requirement for matching of particular types of ectomyorrhizal fungi with specific eucalypts.
